These are the two books that I have read and re-read recently in anticipating my upcoming trip to Florence and Tuscany. The first book I found two years ago in a second-hand shop; the author is from Cleveland, Ohio, and it is about her love affair with Florence. She journals about her 12 Springs there from 2002 until 2014.
Under the Tuscan Sun?! Need I say a thing?! My friends tell me I had better come home again. I’m up for any adventure life presents however! I’m hoping to find a San Lorenzo while there as my Under the Tuscan Sun momento along with other hope-to-find treasures. I have a list.
I fly into Florence and will have two and a half days to explore before a driver meets me at Santa Maria Novello and whisks me away to the Chianti Region near Radda for a week of plein air painting. Meeting me there at a restored monastery, San Fedele, will be five other artists from Santa Fe. La Dolce Vita!
One regret, dear world, that I am determined not to have when I am lying on my deathbed, is that I did not kiss you enough.
